Hi Bellas and future Bellas! I’m Leslie Rupper.

I started in Sweet Adeline’s in 2017, but have been singing, performing, playing and teaching piano for many years. I grew up in the Bay Area in N. California. By profession, I am a RN, BSN, and have worked in hospitals in Oklahoma and California. I became a Certified School Nurse when we lived in Pennsylvania and loved figuring out if kids really did have tummy aches or just wanted to miss class—haha.

My husband and I have 4 children, and our 2 sons are married. We have moved quite a bit and most recently came from Hong Kong where we lived for 3 years before settling in Utah. I love to travel. While living in China, we were able to visit many countries in South-Eastern Asia. The travel bug has always been with me. My motto is, “have bag, will travel.” If given a choice to fly or drive, I will always choose to fly if possible--mainly because my Dad was a commercial airline pilot.

Upon returning to the States, I met Sheila Armstrong who introduced me to the Mountain Jubilee Chorus where I had the opportunity to sing and compete for 3 years. During COVID, the call back to nursing allowed me to be a telephone advice nurse and volunteer as a mission nurse for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Utah, SLC Mission. Those were busy, hectic years. I am grateful the severity has lessened.

More recently, my husband retired, and I told him I wasn’t going to work if he didn’t work!  I’m happy to be singing in person again and have loved the unique circumstances of our BV Chorus where there are so many talented and self-motivated women. Welcome all!
